 Eligibility:

For B.E: A pass in II PUC/Intermediate/10+2 or any other equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology/Electronics as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study with an minimum aggregate of 45% marks in the optional subjects (40% of marks for SC.ST.CAT-1 and OBC category).

For M.Tech: Admission is open to all candidates who have passed B.E. / B.Tech examinations (in relevant field) of VTU or any other University recognised by this University or any other examinations recognised by this University as equivalent with not less than 50% (45% in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST) of the marks in the aggregate in the examinations of the semester considered for the declaration of class. The selection is based on the performance in the qualifying examination, written test and personal interview. Preference will be given to candidates qualified in GATE.

For MCA: A pass in Bachelor's Degree of minimum of three years duration with not less than 50% of marks in the aggregate of all the years (45% for sc/st category) provided that 50% of marks in Mathematics or statistics or Computer Science or Computer Applications or Business Mathematics or Business Statistics as one of the optional subjects at Degree/10+2 Level (45% for sc/st).

Note: PGCET/K MAT/AIEEE/GATE Rank/ score is required for Management quota admission also.

Facilities:

Library: The Library & Information Centre is housed in the Administrative Block & having two floors including ground floor with a two mezzanine floors, measuring an area of 2244 Sq.m. There are 15 staff members including Librarian working in the library. The seating capacity of the Library is for 600 users at a time. To cater to the needs of the staff/ students, to have easy and speedy access to the library collection, the house keeping operations of library have been automated using Easylib software package It has adopted open access system and maintains online public access catalogue (OPAC) to provide easy access to the stacks. The library subscribes to 134 print and 420 online Technical Periodicals. It has also has a collection of nearly 4485 Back Volumes of Periodicals. The library is also subscribing to Full Text Electronic Journals.

Library is an essential part of every institution which helps staff and students to enhance the knowledge through various resources such as books, Newspapers, Journals, Magazines and Electronic Library. Our institution library provides Borrowing, Book Bank, OPAC, Reference services, digital library with high speed internet facilities including multimedia setup, Reprographic and Duplicate printing machine etc.

Hostel:

For girls: The Hostel was founded in 2008 to accommodate girl students, who come from different parts of the world. The hostel now has one block with 4 Floors, accommodating about 270 boarders. The rooms are well furnished and the surroundings of hostel is very green and pleasant, which encourages the students to study. The hostel is having two dinning halls to cater to the needs of the boarders for their varied taste. Hostel is known for its discipline and well managed by dedicated faculty & staff members. The hostel is spacious with a built up area of 5029 Sq. mts with 84 Rooms accommodating 252 students. The Chairman of “AMRUTHA”, Dr.S.S.D.J Ladies Hostel is Sri.A.C.Jayanna, Treasurer, BEA, Dvg .The warden of the hostel is Prof.Ramesh.S.Manoli. The hostel is well managed by a team of experienced office staff.North Indian & south Indian dishes are prepared in the hostel mess. The hostel mess is managed by the hostel administration itself. Ragging is totally prohibited in the hostel. The hostel has indoor shuttle court, and an indoor sports hall which is used for table tennis, chess, carom board and other indoor games. Sports competitions are held regularly to encourage the students to participate in non-curricular activities. For the benefit of the boarders a stationery shop is established in the hostel premises. A walking track is also laid all around the hostel. All the national festivals are celebrated in the hostel. The hostel is surrounded by a landscaped garden. The boarders actively participate in the national functions, freshers’day and fare well function which are held regularly every year.

For Boys: The Hostel is founded in 1979 to accommodate the boys, who come from different parts of the world. The hostel now has three blocks accommodating about 608 boarders. The rooms are well furnished and the surroundings of hostel is very green and pleasant, which encourages the students to study during late nights. The students who stayed in the hostel have secured 18 university ranks right from the inception of the hostel. The hostel is having two dinning halls of North & South Indian to cater the needs of the boarders for their taste. Hostel is known for its discipline and well managed by dedicated faculty & staff members The Hostel area is spacious as much as 4.5 acres., built up area it self being 12,877.09 Sq. feet with 200 Rooms accommodating 608 students. Hostel supports the Institute to arrange many programme.

Placement: Campus placements are provided in almost all engineering colleges of Karnataka. However, the percentage of students placed and the number of companies offering jobs may vary from college to college. Generally, in all colleges, the average offer is around 3.3 lakh/annum for most IT companies.
