Eligibility:

B.Tech: 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects; Chemistry, Biology, Bio-technology, Computer Science, are eligible to pursue B.Tech course.

MBA: Passed 3 year graduate degree in any discipline.

BBA: The candidates who have passed 10+2 Examination or its equivalent examination conduct by a recognized board / university/ council, securing passing marks, shall be eligible for admission to the course. The candidates who have appeared in 10+2 examination are also eligible to apply for this course.

Diploma: Matriculation with Science, English and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

B.Sc(MLT/ Bio-Tech): The minimum qualification for admission to B.Sc (Biotechnology) Course shall be as follow :

Direct Admission - 10+2 Science

Lateral Entry - Diploma in MLT, Pharmacy (2nd year/ 3rd Sem)

B.Sc (Agriculture Integrated): Matriculation pass candidate is eligible for admission.

B.Sc(Information Technology)/ BCA: The candidates who have passed 10+2 Examination or its equivalent examination conduct by a recognized board/ university/ council, securing passing marks, shall be eligible for admission to the course. The candidates who have appeared in 10+2 examination are also eligible to apply for this course the candidates who have passed Matriculation examination and have also passed Diploma in any engineering trade from any recognized Technical Education Board, Chandigarh or SLIET-Lonogowal shall also be eligible for admission.

B.Com (Professional): 10+2 with Commerce.

M.Sc (MLT/ Bio-Tech): Graduation in Science.

M.Sc (Applied Chemistry): B.Sc Medical or B.Sc Non–Medical.

M.Sc (Information Technology): Candidate should possess a Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university with Math/Stats/Business /Quantitative Techniques as a subject in 10+2 or graduation level.

MCA 2yr Course: BCA/ B.Sc (IT/Computer Science)from any University recognized by the university Grants Commission with Mathematics as a course at 10+2 or graduation level with minimum 50% marks(45% for reserved category).

B.Pharmacy: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Maths (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) or Physics, Chemistry, Maths & Biology).

D. Pharma students are too eligible for admission into B. Pharma in second year directly via Lateral entry.

M.Pharma (Pharmacognosy/ Pharmaceutical Analysis): B.Pharmacy from PTU or equivalent university with 55% marks in aggregate.

Admission Process:

B.Tech: Admission for 66.6% seats is carried out by PTU on the basis of AIEEE while 33.3% seats in each discipline are reserved for Management Quota. Admission to all seats is made on the basis of merit

MBA/ BBA:  All eligible candidates are admitted directly on merit basis.

Diploma (CSE/ ECE/ EE/ IT/ ME/ CE): J.E.T test is conducted every year for Admission to diploma courses. Every institute also has sufficient seats for management Quota.

B.Sc (Bio-Tech/ Information Technology/ BCA): All eligible candidates are admitted directly on merit basis.

B.Sc (Agriculture Integrated): Direct admission on merit basis.

B.Com. Professional: Admission Procedure Direct admission on merit basis.

M.Sc (Medical Laboratory Technologists/ Information Technology): All eligible candidates are admitted directly on merit basis.

M.Sc.(Applied Chemistry/ MCA): Direct admission on merit basis.
