Government Polytechnic Nandurbar was established in the historic city Nandurbar in the year of 2009. The institute is about 3 kilometre from Nandurbar Railway station and Bus stand. Rickshaw facilities are also available from railway station and bus stand to Institute. Now, the institute conducts 4 AICTE approved 3 year regular diploma programme with total intake 240. The institute facilities and capabilities are developed through its 3 component viz. capacity expansion, quality improvement and efficiency improvement. The goal of the Institute is "To develop Personalities (technical manpower) with knowledge based, skill oriented and value added, with total and integrated perspective in the rural area".

Mandate: The institute is governed by Government of Maharashtra and approved by All India Council for Technical Education and Pharmacy Council of India to offer technical level Diploma and Post Diploma programmes in engineering, technology and pharmacy as per the norms of Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai.

Mission: It is a rural institute committed to provide engineering and technology diploma that cater to the changing need of industry, business and community at large using need based curricular, delivered in dynamic learning environment, to mobilize the required resources by providing continuing education, testing and consultancy to industry, business and community.
