The Integrated Institutional Campus at Rohtak comprises of 4 Institutions namely State Institute of Fashion & Design (SIFD), State Institute of Fine Arts (SIFA), State Institute of Film & TV (SIF&TV) and State Institute of Urban Planning and Architecture. These institutions are being established at a capital expenditure of Rs.300.0 crores by Govt. of Haryana through Government Technical Institution Society, Rohtak. There are 4 individual institution buildings with one central block having Auditorium, Art Gallery, cafeteria and guest House. The campus is designed by internationally renowned architect Raj Rewal and M/s RITES company of Government of India is Project Management Consultant. For residential campus the site has been identified at Sector-6 HUDA, adjacent to institutional campus. For current academic session the process for providing leased accommodation is in the progress. Institution buildings are provided with Lecture Theatre, Conference Room / Seminar Halls, Library, Computer Centre, Art & Film, TV studios , workshop , Labs, Sports Facilities , Open Air Theatre , Production Facilities, Preview Theatre etc. as per need of programme.

The State Institute of Fine Arts newly started by state govt. of Haryana at Rohtak in 2011 provides graduate students with creative and collaborative environments in which to develop as painters, sculptors, print makers, interior designers, animators and applied artists. Big class rooms and studios are design to help students realize their artistic visions and hone the skills needed to thrive in a competitive national and international creative economy. Along with a historical focus on art, design, media and cultural and social theory, The School of Fine Arts’ studio-based curriculum engages compelling contemporary themes of civic engagement, sustainability, and cultural diversity. We teach the latest knowledge sets informing digital and traditional media. Our accomplished and student-centred faculties bring to all of our students extensive professional expertise and networks. With our lively lecture and performance series featuring emerging and renowned practitioners in the arts, The State Institute of Fine Arts is committed to help students realize their potential as leaders in their creative work.

Eligibility:

For BFA:

• A candidate must have passed the Higher-Secondary School Certificate Examination (H.S.C.) with English being one of the subjects, held at the end of 12thstandard, conducted by Haryana State Board of Secondary and Higher-Secondary Education or an Examination of the another University or recognized as equivalent there to with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate (45% marks in case of Backward class candidates from the Haryana State only).
• Should pass an Entrance-Aptitude Test conducted by the college.

For Bachelor in Design:

• 10+2 examination passed or appearing under recognized central/State Board of Secondary Education/Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi

Or

•  3 years diploma Recognized by AICTE or a state board of technical education.

Entrance Examination Process:

• Written Test: The Eligible candidates will have to appear for a written test which will be conducted at SIFA, Rohtak. This examination evaluates a candidate’s aptitude based on General Knowledge, Current Affairs, and Logic/Reasoning ability, Communication Skill, Analytical Skill, Artistic Skills and Vocabulary.
• Skill Test: The shortlisted candidates from the written examination (In ration of 1st seat to 4 candidates) are required to undergo a Skill Test. Through this test the skills of material handling and innovative ability of the candidates will be evaluated.
• Personal Interview: The shortlisted candidates from the skill test (In ration 1 seat to 2 candidates) will be called for personal interview which will be conducted by a panel of expert. The candidate will be judged on various parameters such as career orientation, aptitude, overall personality traits, and communication, academic and co-curricular activities.
