GSSS Institute of Engineering & Technology for Women is located in Mysore, the city of Palaces, renowned as a seat of learning. Eligibility:

For B.E: The candidate shall have passed the second year Pre-University or XII standard or equivalent examination recognized by the University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Biology, and has secured not less than 45% of the aggregate marks in optional subjects with English as one of the languages. 

For M.Tech:

• Degree in CSE/ISE from any recognized university with 50% aggregate marks.
• Degree in ECE / TE / IT from any recognized university with 50% aggregate marks

For B.E:

• CET - Karnataka Students only
• COMED-K - Non- Karnataka & others

For M.Tech: Must have PGCET / GATE score.

Facilities:

Hostel: GSSSIETW's hostel system is comprised of 3 blocks that can accommodate 400 students. Each hostel block has a hostel warden to supervise the day to day management. Each room is designed for three inmates. The room comes with an attached bath that is modern and suited to international standards. Each student has a separate wardrobe, study table, chair, cot and pin-up board.

• Block A - is home to pre-final and final year students. A modern kitchen with steam cooking facility and mechanised food processing equipment is located in this block. Pure vegetarian food is cooked using best quality ingredients in hygienic conditions. A clean dining hall with mineral water for drinking is located adjacent to the kitchen.
• Block B - houses the second year students. A coffee shop and student's amenities center that caters to the students requirements like photocopying, spiral binding, lamination, mobile recharge and many more is housed in this block.
• Block C - offers stay for freshers exclusively. It also houses the quarters of the resident warden so that utmost care and attention is given to students who leave home for the first time to lead the life of a hostelite.

Medical Facility: A lady doctor visits the hostel for consultation thrice a week. A nurse is available 24 hrs to take care of sick students.

Library: The GSSSIETW Library consists of a Central Library and 6 departmental libraries which collectively support the teaching, research and extension programmes of the institution. GSSSIETW Library is setting time to time new goals and successful in achieving all the goals. It has emerged as modern library with its state of the art facilities and good infrastructure. Library aims to be the best among engineering college libraries in the country. Library intends to incorporate the latest technology and adopt user friendly approach towards students and faculty. Library intends to offer comprehensive services related to dissemination of knowledge Library aims to become the centre of excellence to technical students to improve and invent novel ideology which is needed for challenging world. Library aims at to seek, create, communicate and preserve knowledge and understanding and carryout the mission in a unified community known as College library.

Library aims at servicing as a resource centre and aims to develop a comprehensive collection of documents useful for faculty and students of the institution and provides an efficient dissemination of knowledge. Build collections and create tools to support research, teaching, and learning. Ensuring timely and seamless access to the highest quality resources. The library has made commitment to adopt new information & communication technology..

Placement:

GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for women is the first Women’s Engineering College affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. The Training and Placement Cell is one of the key department in this institution which is responsible for catering the Pre-placement training, Industry institute partnership with MoUs and Placement Cell is also responsible for achieving student’s placements.

Institution has a full-fledged placement cell for convenient conduction of Placement recruitment activities. Placement cell has achieved efficient placement records so far successfully.To empower women professional employability by imparting necessary trainings to meet the expectations of the Industry and to achieve record placements by providing adequate attractive job opportunities.
