Prof. Harbhajan Singh is founder of reputed Harbhajan’s institute of competitions which has produced large number of students who got seats in medical, IIT and Top Ranked institutions in India and abroad. He is highly educated educationist and holds M.Sc., M.Phil. Mathematics from Punjab university and also done M.Ed. & PGDCA. His 21 years of Teaching career has given him large number of students who have succeeded with top ranks in IIt,JET,CET,PMT,AIEEE and other competitive examinations. Prof. Singh is leading HIC as managing Director.

Admission Criteria For B.Tech

  • Counselling Seats: Admissions to B-Tech Programs are made on the basis of common entrance test (CET) and subsequent counseling conduced by PTU, Jalandhar. 85% of the seats are allotted for the students having Punjab Domicile and the students of rest of the India fill 15% seats. Admission of students from other states is done through All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE) conducted by CBSE.
  • Management Quota Seats: As per the university guidelines, each institute can retain 33% of allotted seats to be filled up under the management quota. However, in order to encourage the admission to managements quota seats student can download form and apply directly to the instittue.

Admission Criteria For Diploma

  • Open Seats: The Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Punjab, Chandigarh processes the admission to various courses centrally on the basis of merit of JOINT ENTRANCE TEST(J.E.T.) conducted by the board.
  • Management Quota Seats: 33.34% seats are directly filled by the management, including 5% Non Resident Indians (NRI). These candidates must fulfill the minimum eligibility requirements in matriculation examination.d up under the management quota. However, in order to encourage the admission to managements quota seats student can download form and apply directly to the instittue.

Facilities

 

Library: GRDIET has 15000sq.ft well stocked fully air conditioned library. This library interlinked with DELNET (Developing Library Network). It has established a digital library which includes e-journals, e-books, e-reference sources, databases of theses and dissertations, subject gateway etc.

 

Library Rules

  • The Library shall remain open to readers on all working days as per college timings.
  • The books shall be issued to students for 14 days after which the same must be returned.
  • If the books are not returned on the due date, an overdue charge will be charged for the period, the books are kept beyond the due date.
  • In case a book is lost or mutilated by the borrower, he/she shall bear the cost of replacement which is twice the cost of book. If a book is a part of the volume set, the reader will have to replace the whole set.
  • He reissue will be done gReserve books, Reference books, Rare books, Dissertation, Project Reports, Newspapers and Periodicals are not issued generally except with the written permission of the Principal.
  • The books may be renewed if the same are not in demand or are not reserved by other readers. Tenerally on the physical presentation of the books and on the order of the librarian.
  • Library books will be issued to students on the Library cum I-card every time a book is borrowed or returned.
  • The loss of Library cum I-card should immediately be communicated to the Librarian so that the library staff may keep an eye upon the issue of books on the lost Library cum I-card.
  • The students whos Library cum I-card has been lost will be held responsible for books issued on such card to any one.
  • Sticks, umbrellas, handbags, boxes and other material are not allowed in the library.

Hostel: We understand that most of our students are moving away from home for the first time, so we strive to make the transition as smooth as possible by offering comfortable and safe hostels within the campus. GRDIET offers separate magnificent hostels for boys and girls with hostel warden in each hostel to supervise day to day management. All the rooms have been designed to provide adequate moving space and ample air and light. Each hostel has its own mess providing hygienic and nutritious meals three times a day.

  • Adequate ventilation and lighting facility.

  • Newspapers and magazines are provided to students on demand.

Transport: The institute provides ample transport service to all the adjacent localities within in and around radius of 50 kms. The institute is committed to provide its students all the comfort and convenience to help them to achieve their targets. The transport service is just a small effort in this direction. The institute has a fleet of nearly 10 buses that are running to carry students from as far as Bathinda,, Bhucho, Rampura and Tapa,Barnala,Bhagta etc.

 

Internet: College has 4 Mbps High Speed Internet connections which is made available to all the staff and students. Students also have specified hours for Internet in the timetable.
