Society for Higher Education & Practical Applications (SHEPA) is the outcome of foresight, pioneering zeal & philanthropic spirit of renowned business group, ‘Rungta Project Ltd.’ which envisioned, created, supported & nurtured it. SHEPA as a pioneering umbrella organization came into existence in 1999 when it got registered under Indian Societies Act of 1861. It is located at Nibia, Bachchaon on Mohansarai-Moghalsarai bypass road in the southwest of Banaras Hindu University. About 10 km away from Varanasi Cantt. Rly, Station & about 7 km away from Manduadih Railway Station. SHEPA Campus is spread over 10 acres of lush green land in beautiful scenic & serene setting with canopies of magnificent avenues. It is housed in multiple modern multi storied majestic building of awe inspiring architectural design with all the updated equipments & infrastructure required for quality ethos. The Wi-Fi campus is a real blend of natural beauty & technological advancement. Encouraging innovativeness of the students, In order to attain its objectives effectively, it has launched professional programmes in the areas of computer science, management & education under its different institutes in successive stages with a comparatively affordable economic fee - structure. It is equipped with highly qualified & dedicated faculty having rich academic / practical experiences in the areas of their specialization. Eligibility:

For B.C.A. / B.B.A.: Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent in any discipline with 45% of marks from a recognized college / university.

For B.Com. / B.Ed.: As per university Norms.

For M.B.A.:

• For admission to first year of MBA in Institution of Computer Science & Technology (College Code: 107), Varanasi affiliated to UPTU, Lucknow.
• UPSEE Entrance Test – a candidate must have passed Bachelors degree course of three years or more duration from any recognized Indian University; or its equivalent recognized by A.I.U. securing minimum 50% (45% for SC / ST) marks in aggregate.

For M.C.A.:

• For admission to 1st year of MCA in Institute of Computer Science & Technology (College Code: 107), Varanasi affiliated to GBTU, Lucknow.
• UPSEE Entrance Test – a candidate must have passed Bachelors degree course of 3 years or more duration from any recognized University; or its equivalent, securing minimum 50% (45% for SC / ST) marks in aggregate with Mathematics at 10 + 2 level or at Bachelor degree level.
• Note: As per the decision of Hon’ble Supreme Court, State Govt. has permitted 15% of total sanctioned seats available in Private Institutions to be filled by under Management quota.

For P.G.D.M.:

• 3 years bachelor degree or equivalent recognized from any Indian University in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% in case of SC / ST / OBC Category).
• MAT / CAT / XAT / UPSEE Qualified candidates will be given priority.

Admission Procedure:

For B.Ed.: Candidates are required to apply using the SHEPA application form available with the information brochure. A list of required documents is also mentioned in the application form. After screening the applications, candidates will be called for a group discussion & an interview. Admissions shall be made on the basis of a composite merit drawn from their graduation score, aptitude test & group discussion / personal interview.

For M.C.A. / M.B.A.:

• In M.B.A. / M.C.A. 85% seats will be filled by UPSEE Counselling.
• Admission under Management Quota / Vacant Seats.
• The qualified candidates of UPSEE. Their relative merit will be decided on their rank in UPSEE.
• The qualified candidates of valid CAT (or valid MAT after CAT). Their relative merit will be decided on their rank in respective entrance examination.
• For admission to 1st year of MBA, a candidate must have passed 3 years or more bachelor degree course from any recognized University; securing minimum 50% (45% for SC / ST) marks in aggregate without any grace marks.
• For admission to 1st year of MCA, a candidate must have passed 3 years or more bachelor degree from any recognized University; securing minimum 50% (45% for SC / ST) marks in aggregate without any grace marks. Candidate must have passed with mathematics at 10 + 2 level or at bachelor degree level.

Placements:

A Training cum Placement Cell is already operating in SHEPA for the last 6 years. The Cell is actively functioning in full swing around the year in arranging summer training & final placement of students. It plays a crucial role in establishing industry - institute linkage on the one hand preparing & guiding the students for placement through counselling on the other. The basic objective of the summer training is to expose the students to real corporate environment & provide them opportunity to apply their knowledge & skills in the resolution of real life problems. This objective is successfully being attained through the efforts of Training & Placement Cell. The other main aim of the training & placement Cell is improvement in the deploy ability of the students. To that end it makes a persistent effort to identify the gap between industry expectations & the students capabilities & tries to bridge the gap by organizing quizzes, GDs, seminars, workshops, guest lectures, soft-skill development programmes, personality development programme, communicational ability development programme etc. During the last 6 years about 85% of the students have been provided placement with attractive packages in prominent organizations.
