The year 1991 marks a unique change in the governance and economic management of India. There was a transition from the controlled economic model to a liberal policy framework. In the new environment, popularly referred to as privatization, liberalization and globalization; there was a tremendous need to have skilled manpower in technical fields such as Information Technology and Management. Keeping this in mind, Jagan Institute of Management Studies was started in the year 1993 under the aegis of Jagan Nath Gupta Memorial Educational Society.

Jagan Nath Gupta Memorial Educational Society is a registered society under the Societies Registration Act 1860 and is a non profit organization. The Society is managed by learned people drawn from academics, industry and business. The Chairman of the Society, Mr. Manish Gupta is an Economics (Hons.) graduate from the prestigious Hansraj College of Delhi University and holds a Master degree in Management. The Vice Chairman, Dr. Amit Gupta, has done his MBA from the well renowned Indian Institute of Foreign Trade and has completed his PhD from School of Management Studies, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Likewise, the Treasurer of the Society Mr. Deepak Gupta holds a Masters degree in Management. The Society is keenly devoted to the cause of professional education.

Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS) imparts professional education at post graduate and graduate levels in the fields of Management and Information Technology. The Institute has been working for the attainment of a mission: to develop highly skilled and professional human resource for industry and business. From a very modest start, it has now acquired a commendable position as one of the premier institutes of the country. Our PGDM is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and accredited from National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for excellence in quality education. PGDM has also been granted equivalence to MBA degree by Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Apart from PGDM, we have two AICTE approved Two-Year Full Time Programs namely PGDM (International Business) & PGDM (Retail & Marketing Management). Our MCA, BCA and BBA programmes are affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.

Eligibility:

For BBA:

• Pass in class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and must have passed in English (core or elective or Functional) as a subject.

Selection Criteria: Candidates applying for Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) will have to take a common entrance test (CET) conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in the months of April & May. Based on merit in this examination, students are admitted to the programme through Common Counseling Session.

For BCA:

• 50% aggregate in 12th with English (core or elective or functional) and Mathematics or Computer Science/ informatics practice/Computer applications.

or

• Three year diploma in a branch of engineering from polytechnic approved by All India Council for technical education and affiliated to a recognized examining body with a minimum of 50% aggregate.

Selection Criteria: Candidates applying for Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) will have to take a common Entrance test (CET) conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in the months of April & May, based on merit in this examination, students are admitted to the programme through Common Counseling Session..

For MCA:

• Bachelor degree from a recognized university in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate and must also have passed in Mathematics and English at least Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the CBSE or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto.

or

• BCA/BIT/BIS from a recognized university of at least three years duration with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

or

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology or a qualification recognized as equivalent thereto with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

Selection Criteria: Candidates applying for Master of Computer Applications (MCA) will have to take a comprehensive written test conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in the months of April & May. Based on merit in this examination, students are admitted to the programme through Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by G.G.S. Indraprastha University.

For PGDM/PGDM-IB/PGDM-RM:

• 50% marks in graduation in any discipline. (Students appearing in final year examination are also eligible).

Selection Procedure: Final selection will be made on the basis of Academic Performance, CAT/MAT/CMAT/XAT/ATMA Score, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

For PGDM/PGDM-IB:

• Total Fee: Rs. 6,10,000/- + Rs. 5,000/- Refundable security

For PGDM Retail & Marketing:

• Total Fee: Rs. 5,15,000/- + Rs. 5000/- Refundable security
