KCG College of Technology was founded in 1998 at Karapakkam, Chennai, to fulfill the vision of our Founder-Chairman, Late Dr KCG Verghese's - "To make Every Man a Success and no Man a Failure". It is a Christian minority Institution, affiliated to Anna University and Anna University of Technology and approved by AICTE, New Delhi.
KCG College of Technology, formerly known as National Institute of Technology and Science is approved by the AICTE, Government of India, New Delhi, vide Lr. No.730-52-307 (E)/ET/97 dated 19-12-1997 and Govt. of Tamil Nadu, vide Lr. No.G.O.Ms.No.109 dated 23-03-1998. The College has been certified as an ISO 9001:2000 Institution.
The campus of KCG College of Technology is beautifully landscaped in a lush green stretch of land spread over 50 acres at Karapakkam, which is about 10 km from Adyar on the Old Mahabalipuram Road, the IT corridor of Chennai. The college operates a fleet of buses connecting all parts of the city for the convenience of the students and staff. Besides this, the college is well connected to different parts of the city by public transport buses. |

Eligibility:
B.E/ B.Tech: (10+2)/ HSC (Academic) or Equivalent.
- For candidates belonging to Other Communities (OC) of Tamil Nadu State: a minimum average of 50% in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
- For candidates of Backward class Community (BC) and BC (Muslims) of Tamil Nadu State: a minimum average of 45% in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
- For candidates of Most Backward class Community (MBC) & DNC of Tamil Nadu State: a minimum average of 40% in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
- For candidates of SCA/SC/ST community of Tamil Nadu State: a mere pass with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
M.E.:
- Computer Science and Engineering: A Pass in B.E./B.Tech (EEE/ECE/Electronics /IT/CSE/ I & C/ E&I/ Instrumentation) or M.C.A (10+2+3) or M.Sc 5-year integrated (IT/CS/Software Engineering)

MCA: A pass in any degree of Anna University of Technology or equivalent with (10+2+3) year pattern with mathematics at +2 levels or with mathematics / Statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level. A pass in any degree with (10+3 (diploma) +3) years pattern with mathematics at diploma level or mathematics / statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level.
