To usher-in an era of Engineering and Technology, the Khalsa College Society has given birth to its youngest and the beloved baby in 2009, the most sought-after Institution, Khalsa College of Engg. & Technology (KCET), to realize the educational requirements of the society / area and also to impart quality education.  Located in the heart of the holy city of Amritsar, this is the only Institution in the state of Punjab which is coming up in the heart of a top city and that too in one of the most posh area (Ranjit Avenue) of the best city of the state. Ideally located about 2 Kms from Railway Station, 3 Kms from Bus-Stand and about 9 Kms from Amritsar International Airport, it is very well connected to whole of India. There is heavy density of Rail and Road traffic to this city from all destinations in India.

Eligibility:

For B. Tech Engineering: For admission to Engineering Courses, 85% seats shall be open to the candidates from within the State of Punjab and 15% will be open to candidates from outside the State. Appearing in JEE-2018 conducted by CBSE, New Delhi is mandatory to claim seats on merit under 85% quota reserved for Punjab Residents through a centralized Counselling of Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala and also for students claiming seats under 15% reserved quota, from outside Punjab. If a candidate is not able to produce his residence certificate, he/she shall be considered for 15% quota/category only.

For B. Tech Engineering (Lateral Entry): For admission to Engineering Courses, 85% seats shall be open to the candidates from within the State of Punjab and 15% will be open to candidates from outside the State. • The eligibility criteria for admission in M. Tech. (Part Time) course, is regular B.E/ B. Tech. degree of Punjab Technical University or its equivalent with at least 50% in aggregate.
• Computer Science & Engineering B.E/ B. Tech. in Computer Science Engineering/ IT. Electronics & Communication Engineering B.E./ B. Tech in Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Applied Electronics/ Instrumentation & Control/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ M. Sc. in Physics (with specialization in Electronics).

Note: AMIE/ AMIETE/ AMACSE graduates including graduates from other Govt. recognized professional bodies equivalent to AMIE with 50% or above marks in their exams in such body may also take admission to M. Tech. with the condition that the branch adopted at graduation level must be same as the specialization applied for.

Admission Process:

B. Tech: Admission to B. Tech, both for 85% seats reserved for Punjab residents and 15 % seats for outside Punjab quota shall be made strictly on the basis of JEE-2018 rank and in case the seats do not get filled under respective categories, the eligibility may be considered on the basis of qualifying examination, i.e. 10+2. For Engineering & Technology courses, all those candidates who have passed the 10+2 Examination (with at least 45% marks in aggregate) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the below mentioned subjects shall be eligible for admission:

• Chemistry
• Bio Technology
• Computer Science
• Biology

Candidates who have passed two years Certificate course from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Longowal (SLIET) shall be eligible.

Note:- Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying 10+2 examination, shall also be eligible to appear in the JEE- 2018 Entrance Test. The admission of such candidates to the Entrance Test shall be purely provisional and shall stand cancelled, if a candidate fails to produce his/her eligibility at the time of admission and such a candidate shall have no claim, what so ever, for admission to these B. Tech. Courses through Counselling.

Management Quota:

As per the Government of Punjab Notification No.13/129/2003-1TE2/1030 dated 25.4.2008, there is “Management Quota” to the tune of 33% (one third of the total seats) of the intake in each branch. The Management shall fill these seats purely on merit in accordance with the following order of preference:

• Merit in Joint Entrance Examination-2018 (JEE)
• Marks secured in the qualifying examination (PCM with at least 45% in aggregate)
