Year 2011 has witnessed the establishment of the fourth campus of Meerut Institute of Engineering & Technology (MIET Group) in Haldwani, Uttarakhand by the name of MIET Kumaon. The flagship Institute of MIET Group, namely Meerut Institute of Engineering & Technology (MIET) was established in 1997 as the fourth oldest self-financed engineering college in Uttar Pradesh. Its renowned academic environment, extensive Alumni network in over 200 companies, excellent placements and numerous extra-curricular activities make it a great educational institution. It is currently ranked as the 4th best Engineering College in Uttar Pradesh by Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow.
