Placed at the remote corner of Maharashtra, Gadchiroli also carries the tag of under developed district of Maharashtra. It has been proved time & again that the path to progress & prosperity goes through the education. The Gadchiroli district has a polytechnic but what it desperately netted was an engineering college. Namdeoao Poreddiwar college of Engineering is a humble endeavour of Sardar Patel Memorial Society to create a centre for imparting technical education to the student of this area. It is the constructive leadership of Shri Shantaramji Potdukhe armed with academic vision & social commitment that is set to transform the socio - educational culture of Gadchiroli district. It is not just a mere coincidence that in the last year which was the Golden Jubilee year of sardar Patel memorial Society, it has started a technical institute but in fact it is a well envisaged dream of partially fulfilling the aspirations of people of Gadchiroli. There is no doubt that the educational field in Gadchiroli will change forever for the better. The socio - cultural inclination of management will certainly give new dimensions to the cultural scenario of the district. The job of nurturing this baby is entrusted with Dr. KR Dixit who is also the principal of RCERT, Chandrapur. His experience in elevating the college to academic will prove decisive in development of this college.
