About Us:


National Institute of Technology, Warangal (Deemed University), formerly known as Regional Engineering College, was established in 1959. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru laid the foundation stone for this institute on October 10, 1959, the first in the chain of 30 NITs (formerly known as RECs) in the country. The Institute is well known for its dedicated faculty, staff and the state-of-the art infrastructure conducive to a healthy academic environment. The Institute is constantly striving to achieve higher levels of technical excellence.
  Evolving a socially relevant and yet internationally acceptable curriculum, implementing innovative and effective teaching methodologies and focusing on the wholesome development of the students are our concerns.  Thanks to UNESCO and UK assistance in the past, many developmental activities were undertaken.The World Bank Assistance under Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP during 2004-09) had been a timely help in the overall development of the Institute.

 

NITWET-2013 (National Institute of Technology Warangal Entrance Test) is a National Level Entrance Test being conducted for admission into various M.Sc. Programmes at NIT Warangal. The admission in these programmes will be based on the Rank obtained in NITWET-2013 only.

 

Mode of Entrance Examination and Duration:

 

There will be 80 objective questions in each subject and the duration of the examination is 2 hours. 4 marks will be awarded for the correctly answered question and -1 mark will be awarded for the wrongly answered question.

M.Sc. (Applied Mathematics)


M.Sc. (Mathematics and Scientific Computing)


M.Sc. Industrial Chemistry with specialization in Dyes, Drugs, Pharmaceuticals and Pesticides


M.Sc. Industrial Chemistry with specialization in Modern Methods of Chemical Analysis

 

Eligibility:


► For M.Sc. (Tech.) Engineering Physics (Industry Oriented) with streams of study in Photonics/ Electronics/ Instrumentation:

B.Sc. degree with Ist class and at least

(i) 60% marks in aggregate in all the optional subjects put together

Or

(ii) Equivalent CGPA 6.5 and should have studied Physics, Maths and any other subject as optionals.

 

► For M.Sc (Applied Mathematics)/M.Sc. (Mathematics & Scientific Computing):

B.Sc./ B.A. degree with Ist class with mathematics as main subject and at least

(i) 60% marks in aggregate in all the optional subjects put together

Or

(ii) An equivalent C.G.P.A. 6.5

 

► For M.Sc. Industrial Chemistry with specialization in Dyes, Drugs, Pharmaceuticals and Pesticides/M.Sc. Industrial Chemistry with specialization in Modern Methods of Chemical Analysis

B.Sc. degree with 1st Class with Chemistry as the main subject and at least

(i) 60% marks in all the optional subjects put together

Or

(ii) An equivalent C.G.P.A. 6.5.
