It is a business center and is well known for its world famous Hoysala architecture and temples of Belur, Halebeedu, monolithic statue of Bahubali at Shravanabelagola. INSAT – Master Control Facility of ISRO is located in the outskirts of Hassan city.NDRK Institute of Technology was during the year 2009, in the name of Yagachi Institute of technology, is affiliated to VTU, Belgaum, is approved by the Governament of Karnataka and is recognised by AICTE, New Delhi.
