PNS Institute of Technology fondly called as PNSIT Established its new venture in the year 2009, in the field of Technology and Management. College is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). BE and MBA Programme is affiliated to Visveswaraya Technological University (VTU) and also governed by the norms of AICTE. The institution imparts the Management education primarily in accordance with the syllabus and schemes of studies formulated by the University for the Course.

The Placement cell at "PNS Institute of Technology" provides an interface between students and Industry by providing assistance to students for industry internships and final placements. Interface with leading industry and corporate for consultancy, research, project and placements

Eligibility:

For BE: Admission to first year B.E. course is made for candidates through CET/COMED-K and Management Quota as per norms specified by Government of Karnataka from time to time.

Admission to First Year in BE:

• The student should have passed 2nd PUC / 12th standard or equivalent examination with English as one of the languages and obtained 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics Biology. In case of candidates belonging to Karnataka Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes (Category I, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination.
• 10 + 2 of the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary education) / ICSE (Indian certificate of Secondary education)
•  Any other equivalent examination recognized by the University.

Admission to Second Year in BE (Lateral Entry): The admission shall be opened for the candidates who are holders of a Diploma or equivalent examination, as recognized by University and has secured not less than 50% marks, in the final year examination (Fifth and Sixth Semesters) in respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST & OBC and in respect of others the candidate has secured not less than 45% Marks in the appropriate branch of engineering specified by government from time to time. Such a candidate shall clear prescribed bridge courses as specified by the University.

For MBA: Graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 50% in the aggregate at the graduate level. (SC/ST min of 45%), must have appeared in CMAT/PGCET or one of the recognized All India Aptitude Tests. Appearance in the Admissions Process of the Institution either at “PNS Institute of Technology” or elsewhere (conducted by faculty members of PNS Institute of Technology). All other parameters being the same, preference will be given to candidates with degrees in the relevant discipline and relevant work experience of at least two years

For Diploma: The candidates should pass SSLC (X Standard) or Equivalent examination with Mathematics and Science Subjects are eligible for admission Affiliated to DTE, approved by AICTE and recognized by Government of Karnataka.

Facilities:

Library: The College Library is a gateway to a world of Information. The Staff and students have unlimited access to a wealth of Information found in resources like books, magazines, Journals, Hand Books, Annual reports and the Internet. In addition, the library offers specious seating arrangements and a calm ambience for learning. We have crossed many milestones, and developmental stages, by its continuous resource enrichment, continuous infrastructural developments, and On-time implementation of new technologies since from its establishment Students shall borrow and use library books during their odd semester examination only. At the end of each academic year i.e. before starting of even semester examination students have to return their all library borrowings and get no dues from library which is mandatory for getting their hall tickets. Those students who need to use library books for their exams shall take three books (maximum) by depositing double the cost of the book(s), the same amount will be returned back upon returning of the borrowed books.

Boy's Hostel: A beautiful hostel for boys is available in the campus with necessary amenities like individual cot, study table, chair & wardrobe with locking facility. The hostel is maintained so well with a team of our Maintenance staff. The hostel is provided with 24 hours power backup with good drinking water facility. The other facilities available include solar heaters, reading room, TV lounge, Volley Ball Court, indoor games like Carroms board, Table Tennis and a multi Gym. Students are provided with high speed wi-fi internet facilities in the hostel during the prescribed time.

Girls Hostel: An exclusive & well secured hostel for girls is available for the students. The hostel is maintained by a well qualified Warden and the team of maintenance staff. Our Girls hostel comprises Warden’s office, Visitors lounge, reading room, dining hall, TV lounge & small indoor games room. The hostel is of three sharing type with attached Bath & Toilet with hot water facilities. Computers with internet connectivity are provided at our Girls hostel for the students’ educational purpose. Both our hostels are attached to our Hostel Mess where a balanced & nutritious diet menu is framed and followed. The hostel food menu has lot of variety with exclusive Veg. and Non Veg. food options. The hostels are absolutely free from ragging and the boarders are guaranteed with comfortable & peaceful stay.

Transport: A fleet of Buses is operating from Bangalore city and Hosur to our College. The bus network covers all corners of the city and important junctions. A team of experienced drivers drive our buses complying all safety norms and traffic rules. The College encourages the student to make use of the transport so that they can reach the college in time safely and comfortably. With the help of individual bus monitors, special attention is given on all the students for their commutation Also, KSRTC & BMTC bus facilities are available to our College campus at short intervals during the starting and ending hours of the college.

The college buildings are architecturally designed and built in a vast area. Placement is our endeavor to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between the students and the industry. PNSIT provides a platform for placement where companies are invited to recruit students of various specializations and work experience. Potential employers are able to undertake on-campus recruitment through a stream-lined process of registrations, PPTs and selection. Understanding the significance of using the right aptitude and knowledge skill-sets for the right task, our placement team seeks to provide corporate and students the best opportunities for mutually beneficial selection. Responsible for identifying the right student-organization fit, the Placement Team selects targets and invites companies for Final and Summer Internship Placements. Student empowerment is a key feature of life @ PNSIT as well as an integral part of the institute's academic calender, seeks to identify the best student for the opportunity provided by a prospective employer. Students are constantly motivated through counseling in order to boost their morale. Students are also informed and advised on the importance of maintaining good academic scores as these play a major role during recruitment. In fact the department, through a series of programmes and workshops, helps students improve their academic scores. Other seminars and workshops are organized by the HRD to provide relevant technical training. A good academic score sheet and technical know-how is only one aspect of the recruitment process. Organizations today employ unique techniques during recruitment to ensure that those hired will meet its requirements. The HRD recognizes these techniques by interacting with the industry and prepares students for them. It conducts group discussions and workshops on a series of recruitment techniques. Students are trained to develop their skills to handle interviews in the best manner possible. Mock tests have been made mandatory and other industry-relevant evaluation procedures are followed. In addition, the HRD helps students improve their communication and presentation skills. Specific technical and non-technical pre-placement training equips students to handle interviews and recruitment processes, and emerge successful.
