R.N. Modi Engineering College (RMEC) is the first engineering college established in 2004 in Ranpur, Kota to cater to the Engineering studies for the cause of educational growth in the society. Its contribution since its inception has been commendable, as the country has now become affluent in technological development. The Institute is around 10 km away from city centre in a peaceful environment.

While entering the gate of RMEC and walking through the pavements between unique Nature's panoramas, the environment solemn and fragrant impresses so deeply as if Providence has bestowed the premises the elements of concentration, meditation, etc. in abundance, as necessary for knowledge Imparting schools. It was absolutely a bold step with very high vision of Dr. R.N. Modi, The President Modi Education Group to create an institute of Engineering studies in various branches to fulfill the aspirations of students and growth of engineers in the country and go shoulder to shoulder with the national campaign of educating our people and make them well prepared for achieving high degree of technological development in the countrywith global standards.

This institute is known to be a pioneer educational institution and has had affiliation with University of Rajasthan, Jaipur initially with the approval of AICTE and it is a matter of proud privilege that two batches of Engineers in Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, and Electronics & Communication Engineering and Applied Electronics & Instrumentation passed out from this college and now they are serving in various prestigious organizations in the country and abroad. Soon after the establishment of RTU this college is running under the affiliation of RTU as approved by Al CTE. About 6 batches of engineering students have successfully completed their engineering degree (B.E/13.TECH) and are serving in various parts of the county as well as abroad. It is one of the 1st Institutesto authorize itsfunclions through implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
