You are welcome to the GITAM world of Distance Learning. You may be aware that any distance education centre needs statutory recognization from Distance Education Council (DEC), New Delhi to offer programmes through distance mode. Degrees / Diplomas awarded through distance mode by any University recognized by DEC are only eligible to seek Government employment under an act of Parliament issued as a G.O to that effect by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) in 1995. GITAM University with an avowed objective of enhancing access to higher education with quality at affordable cost started the Centre for Distance Learning to offer programmes through distance mode from the year 2009-10 with the recognition of DEC. This website covers all aspects such as admission, counseling, learner support services, evaluation and all other aspects ranging from pre-entry counseling to exit with a degree / diploma from the Centre for Distance Learning.
